DISCOUNTS WITH CITY PASS GULF OF MORBIHAN VALVES 1 € discount on the entrance fee more info on www.citypass.bzh The sunshine is the most important and the lowest rainfall in Brittany: the Gulf of Morbihan is one of the land of choice for the apple Guillevic, one of the oldest varieties of apple trees in the region. A few years ago, this little green apple was going to fall apart. A handful of irreducibles then gathered to bloom again their orchard of this variety which produces one of the best ciders of Brittany: the Royal Guillevic (only cider red label). Didier NICOL is one of them. On its 13 hectares of orchard, it produces, in the respect of a reasoned culture, unpasteurized Breton farmhouse cider, as well as apple juice, without forgetting the Royal Guillevic. From the rigorous selection of apples from the orchard, the juice will ferment for a few months in an air-conditioned tank at 8 ° C to refine its aromas and become a balanced cider. Our sweet cider Saint Armel farmer obtained in 2019 the silver medal at the agricultural competition of Paris. The House of Cider obtained in 2017-2018-2019 the prize of excellence. The House of Cider offers you a visit: "discoveries and tastings" in an authentic setting to understand the traditional cider activity of the Family NICOL (ciders for three generations) from the origin of the cultivation of the apple to distillation by passing by the living glass hive, the conservatory orchard, the crushing, the pressing and all the steps of the manufacture. Brute, sweet or fruity, it's a refreshing visit in the heart of the tradition! Without forgetting the shop where different products of the Breton soil wait for you. New: Museum and shop open all year. Closed Sunday except July / August.
